Appellate Court

Ready to argue your case? Step into the world of law and justice with the Court of Appeals! The appeals process is a key part of our legal system. When someone believes a mistake was made in a trial, they can take their case to a higher court to seek a fair decision. In this program, you’ll experience that process firsthand!

The Appellate Program introduces students to the legal system while building confidence, critical thinking, and strong communication skills. You’ll learn how real legal arguments are written, present, and defend in front of a panel of judges.

If you love to debate and think on your feet, this is the place for you! Work with a teammate to argue your side, strengthen your writing skills, and try to reverse the court’s decision. Throughout the State Assembly, delegates take on roles as both attorneys and judges, presenting and deciding real-world inspired cases.
