Supreme Court

Students in the Judicial program can be a part of the Supreme Court, where students discuss the constitutionality of bills posed at the conference.
Supreme Court members will conduct hearings where they interview bill authors on questions of constitutionality in their bills. The Attorney General will argue on behalf of the state and members of the Supreme Court will rotate serving as attorney for the bill authors and sitting on the bench. Once the hearing has concluded, students on the bench will then discuss and make a ruling.
Regardless of the ruling, bill authors may still have their bills signed by the Youth Governor if it passes through committee and chamber. The Supreme Court may provide suggested amendments to the bill author in order to help them make their bill stronger and constitutionally sound.
