YMCA Youth Advocate Program

Ready to make your voice heard? The YMCA Youth Advocate Program is a four-month civic engagement and advocacy experience that empowers students to share their Y story with policymakers in a culminating event in Washington, D.C. in March each year.
Through interactive training and collaboration with YMCA peers from across the country, students learn about the Y’s mission, federal policy priorities, and how to advocate for positive change in their communities. The program culminates in an opportunity to meet with Congressional offices and share how the YMCA has made a difference in their lives.
No advocacy experience required! Just bring your curiosity, passion for the Y, and willingness to make a difference.
Applications for the 2028 event will open in August
